Coalition Talk - What's all the fuss about?

Today on BBC Radio Wiltshire, leader of Wiltshire Council Liberal Democrat Group, Jon Hubbard, spoke of the “fundamental difference in ethos” between the coalition partners in national government, in light of Vince Cable’s comments today.
“I don’t know what the fuss is about, to be quite honest.” Jon said. “The speech is the Conservative Party Leader talking to the Conservative Party about Conservative Party policy on immigration. Vince’s comments are those of a Liberal Democrat, and as such it should be no surprise to anyone that there are differences in what the Lib Dems believe and what the Tories believe”
“As I have been saying since the Westminster Coalition was formed in June 2010, there is no coalition in Wiltshire, and we find much to challenge in the Conservative Administration on Wiltshire Council”
“Vince’s comments demonstrate, again, that we are two separate Parties, each with a separate ethos, and very different fundamental principles.”
Vince Cable today said that David Cameron’s speech on immigration contained some “very unwise” comments, and “risked inflaming extremism”.
